Review:
Band of Brothers is a series of 10-part television set in the Second World War and co-produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.
Much of the action in the miniseries focuses on what is experienced by the Easy Company (Easy Company) of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (506th Parachute Infantry Regiment) of the 101 th Division Airborne (U.S. 101st Airborne Division) of the United States Army and one of its first section leaders, Lieutenant Richard Winters (later Major Winters). The series is based on the book of the same title, written by renowned historian and biographer Stephen Ambrose.
The events portrayed in the miniseries try to be faithful to history and are based on Ambrose's research and interviews with Easy Company veterans. All characters appearing in the miniseries are based on real characters of the company, some of them appear in pre-recorded interviews as a prelude to each episode.
